CHURCH FESTIVAL - 16th Annual “A Touch of Lebanon Festival” Sept 29th 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Sept. 30th 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.  Food, games, raffle, Silent Auction, Gift Shop, music and dancing.  St. Maron Catholic Church, 602 University Ave. N.E., Minneapolis.

MARATHON FOR NONPUBLIC EDUCATION - Pope John Paul II Catholic School is participating in our annual Marathon for Nonpublic Education on Sat., October 6th at Boom Island.  Our goal is $6000.  To sponsor our school’s efforts, feel free to pledge as the Holy Spirit leads you.  Checks can be made payable to: Pope John Paul II Catholic School.  Please note “Marathon Pledge” on the check.  Know that we do include you in our prayers and are grateful for your support on behalf of ALL children of Pope John Paul II Catholic School.

YOUNG ADULT RETREAT - The Archdiocesan Young Adult Connection will sponsor a Retreat on October 20,2007 for all young adults ages 19-35, single, married and religious.  It will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 4125 Woodbury Drive, Woodbury, MN.  The retreat will include prayer, inspiration, faith-sharing, presentations, Mass, Reconciliation and socializing with other young adults.  It will be from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a cost of $10.00. QUILT AUCTION - Buy a quilt and change the lives of women and children hanging by a thread.  The quilts are of exceptional quality and sold through direct sale, live or silent auction.  Entry fee is $3.00 per person.  All proceeds benefit women and children in need.  “Women Hanging By A Thread” Quilt Auction, Saturday October 27 St. Michael’s School, 16280 Duluth Avenue, Prior Lake.  For more information call 507-389-4213.

ALL NIGHT VIGIL - The World Apostolate of Fatima, Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis, is sponsoring an All Night Vigil of reparation and prayer at St. Charles Catholic Church, 409-3rd Street North, Bayport.  The vigil will begin on October 5, at 8:00 PM with the Rosary, the Mass at 9:00 PM, and conclude with the Mass at 4:00 AM on Saturday, October 6.  Everyone is invited to attend part or all of this devotion.  Contact: Claude at 651-457-6609.

FALL FESTIVAL WRAP UP MEETING - There will be a Fall Festival Wrap Up Meeting on Tuesday, October 9th at 6:30 PM in the Pioneer Room.  Come to the meeting and share the highlights and future needs of planning the Festival.

DEVOTIONS - First Saturday Devotions will be held here at Holy Cross on Saturday, October 6th at 7:45 AM with praying of the first three decades of the Rosary and Mass at 8:00 AM.  After Mass our devotions will continue with praying of the final two decades of the Rosary, prayer and meditation.  All are welcome.

COFFEE AND DONUT SUNDAY - We will host Coffee & Donut Sunday next Sunday, October 7th after all morning Masses in Kolbe Center.  This is an opportunity to come and visit with fellow parishioners.

COLLECTIBLES & ANTIQUES Collectibles and Antiques Appraisal Fair Friday, October 19, 2007 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Holy Cross Kolbe Center.  This is your opportunity to bring items you collect or own and have them appraised by Birkelund & Associates Professional Appraisers.  Cost: 3 items appraised  for $4.00 and $1.00 each additional.   Sponsored by Holy Cross Church.

EIGHTEENTH ANNUAL GERMAN DAY - Church of St. Boniface, 629 Second Street N.E., on Sunday, Oct. 7. Polka Mass at 10:00 AM with the Dick Macko Orchestra.  Authentic German Dinner to follow from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM.  Adults $10, Children 12 and under $4.  Take-outs are available.  For information call John at 763-572-2377.

EVENING FAMILY HOLY HOUR - In honor of the 90th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima, come and pray for your family and all the families of the world.  Sunday, Oct. 7 the Feast of Our Lady and the Most Holy Rosary at the St. Paul Cathedral 7:00 to 8:00 PM.  Sponsored by the World Apostolate of Fatima.
