OLAN MILLS UPDATE - Our Church will have a new pictorial directory with Olan Mills for our 125th Parish Anniversary.  Photos will be taken in the lower level of the school October 4 thru 9 and Oct. 11 & 12.  Sign-ups are underway!  Sign up today either at church or online at www.signup.olanmills.com.  Many photo times are still available online.  You will need the church phone number to log in: 612-789-7238.  If you need help to sign up online, please call the parish office - we will be happy to help.  Once you enter your home information click “save” and the available times will be displayed.  You may also call 1-800-866-2263 Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM to schedule or change an appointment.  Each household that comes for photography and portrait viewing will receive a complimentary directory and 8 x 10 Custom Color Portrait.  Additional portrait options will be available for purchase, if you chose to.

“RILEY RECOVERY FUND” BENEFIT Saturday, October 2, 2010.  Baby Riley Bruneau was born July 15, 2010.  Shortly thereafter, he stopped breathing and was put on life support.  One week after birth, Riley underwent open heart surgery to repair a heart defect and more surgeries may be needed.  A Spaghetti Feed, raffle, silent auction and live music benefit will be held at the Blaine “VFW” - Highway 65 & 109 Avenue N.E. on October 2nd from 6:00 PM to Midnight.  Tickets at the door: $10 per person, 5 and under free.  Donations can also be made to “Riley Recovery Fund” @TCF Bank.

Thank you to everyone who made the Holy Cross Fall Festival a great success - friends, neighbors and workers!  We were amazed to have nice sunny days! 

 

Thank you to all chairpersons and workers.  We appreciate your help with the organization, set-up, running the event and clean-up.  Many hours of preparation went into making our Festival run smoothly.

 

Thank you to our many donors - parishioners, friends and local businesses.  Your generosity and support provides many wonderful prizes and supplies.

 

Hundreds of people enjoyed the outdoor Polish Food Booth and approximately 585 Chicken Dinners were served.

 

You all made it happen and we are grateful.

19TH ANNUAL TOUCH OF LEBANON at St. Maron Catholic Church, 602 University Avenue N.E., on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Sunday, Sept. 26 form 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  Lebanese Cuisine - Sish Kabab, Grilled Chicken, Gyros, Flafel sandwiches, live music, games, raffle, Silent Auction, Gift Shop and more.  Fun for the whole family - rain or shine.  612-379-2758.

ANNUAL COAT GIVE-AWAY - East Side Thrift Store is seeking donations of useable winter coats, especially children’s coats for its Annual Coat Give-Away.  The Coat Give Away will be held on Nov. 1 from 2:00-6:00 PM at East Side Neighborhood Services, 1700-2nd St. N.E..  For more information and donation drop off call 612-789-0600.
