Thank you to everyone who helped make the Holy Cross Fall Festival a great success.  We were blessed with good weather, volunteers and many guests.

 

Thank you to the all chairpersons and workers.  We appreciate your help with organization, set-up, running the event, and clean-up.  Many hours of preparation went into making our Festival run smoothly.

 

Thank you to our many, many donors - parishioners, friends and local businesses.  Your generosity provides a substantial portion of our prize base.

COLLECTIBLES & ANTIQUES APPRAISAL FAIR Saturday, September 30, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Holy Cross Kolbe Hall.  This is your opportunity to bring items you collect or own and have them appraised by Birkelund & Associates, professional appraisers.  Cost:  3 items appraised for $4.00 and $1.00 for each additional item.  Sponsored by the Holy Cross Educational Task Force.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST at Holy Cross on Sunday, October 1, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM sponsored by the Educational Task Force.  The Breakfast will be in Kolbe Center.  Adults $5.00 and children (under 12) $3.00.

ST. MARON’S CHURCH, 602 University Avenue N.E., Touch of Lebanon Festival Saturday, Sept, 23 from 1:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.  Lebanese Food, games, raffles, gifts, music, and dancing.  Sunday, Sept. 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Food, games, Silent Auction, music, and more.

THE CHURCH OF ST. AUSTIN 4050 Upton Avenue Annual Fall Festival on Sept. 23 and 24.  Saturday, 5:30-10:30 p.m. and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. features a Turkey Dinner, Silent Auction, bingo, raffles, and more.

OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL CHURCH, 701 Fillmore St. N.E. Festival on September 24.  Marian Procession following the 10:00 AM Mass.  Spaghetti Dinner Noon to 4:00 p.m. (catered by Totino’s).  Tickets are $8.00 for adults, $4.50 for children age 10 and under.

FAITH FORMATION CLASSES begin October 4 and now is the time for religious education registration for the 2006-2007 school year.  Faith Formation classes are for public school students in grades 1-8 and for all children who will be in grade 2 in preparation for First Holy Communion.  Call Sister Donna (evenings) 612-789-9168.

MASTER OF ARTS IN CATHOLIC STUDIES - The University of St. Thomas will hold an Information Session for the Master of Arts in Catholic Studies program on Wednesday, September 27 at 6:30 PM on the Saint Paul campus, Sitzmann Hall, 2055 Summit Avenue.  To attend, or for more information, call 651-962-5703. 

IN OCTOBER IT WILL BE 25 YEARS since the first Society of Christ priest came to Minneapolis.  At Holy Cross we will celebrate this anniversary by giving thanks to God for their dedicated work at our parish.  On Sunday, October 8th at our 11:30 Mass the solemn Eucharist will be celebrated.  After Mass there will be a banquet in Kolbe Hall.  Tickets for banquet are available in the Parish Office.  Cost is $35.00.  All are invited.
