Text Box: BULLETIN CONNECTION

Today’s Gospel is not an easy text to hear. Jesus is going to suffer death, and he will rise, but the disciples didn’t really understand what he was talking about.

Sometimes we can act that way as well. Jesus’ directions in the second part of the Gospel are pretty clear. “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.” Serving others is what we are expected to do. But sometimes we’re like the disciples: we just don’t get it.

Reflect on your actions of the past few days. Were there times when you clearly acted as servant? Were there times when you didn’t? What can you do in the days ahead to serve in a better way?

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Pope John Paul II wrote, “The Church and the world have a great need of Eucharistic worship.  Personally, I have experienced a need for silent adoration which gives me strength, consolation and support.”

Let us be generous with our time by going to the Adoration Chapel in adoration and prayer.
