Text Box: MESSAGE FROM FATHER JENSON This Sunday we hear the apostle St. James say in his epistle, where jealousy and jealous ambition exist, there is disorder and every foul practice. When we are focused on ourselves, and willing to act for our own interest even at the expense of others, there will be violence and needless pain. Our passions can drive us to bitter and destructive words and actions. It takes a willingness to submit to the will of God and allowing him to set limits for us and our behavior that will ensure peace and trust among us. Our feelings are not necessarily the truest guide to how we should act in every situation, especially when we are upset. Turn to Jesus each day to develop a healthy and strong friendship with him, so that he can calm and direct us when our emotions are hot and hard to control. Festival: This is Festival Sunday at Holy Cross. This will be a wonderful occasion for all of us in our tri-parish cluster. Father has a new raffle item that you might just want to try bidding on, Padre’s Pedal Pub Night. Come and find out all about this zany opportunity to have a blast with the padre and support a good cause. Also, there is a dinner to bid on cooked and served by myself and Fr. Simonson at the Holy Cross rectory for eight people. Come early and bid often. Remember, as always when attending a church festival, bring a full purse or wallet, and be sure it’s empty before you leave! Hope to see you all at Holy Cross this Sunday! EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

 

Pope John Paul II called the people of God to a personal relationship with Jesus our Savior in the Blessed Sacrament.  It is by taking time out to be with HIM in the Blessed Sacrament that our relationship with our LORD begins to increase.

 

Visit the Adoration Chapel for an hour of quiet adoration and prayer.  This will help you feel more personally involved with Christ.

SUNDAY SCHOOL for pre-schoolers to kindergarten age will start on Sunday, September 27 in the lower level of the school building during the 10:00 AM Mass.  All families are welcome to participate as children begin to learn lifelong faith values.  For more information call the Parish Office weekdays at 612-789-7238.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT - Please join us for Family Fun Night on Wednesday, September 30th from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in Kolbe Hall.
