· Clean-up in the parish kitchen beginning at 9:30 AM.  All help is very much welcome and needed.

· East Side Old Timers’ Reunion in Kolbe Hall.

· AA & Alanon 7:30 PM in Kennedy Hall.

· Mass and Devotions 7:00 PM in Church.

· Polish Saturday School 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.

· Library open after the 10:00 Mass.

 

“HAPPENINGS” BOOKS - Holy Cross Parish is selling “Happenings” books for $30.00 each.  The books contain a large variety of coupons for discounts on food,  car washes, entertainment, travel, etc. that are good through September, 2008.  Proceeds from the sale will be go the “Church Painting Fund.”  Books can be purchased at the Parish Office or by calling Dennis at 612-788-4209. 

PLEASE KEEP SAVING ALUMINUM CANS - The money raised from recycling aluminum goes toward the “Church Painting.”  Bags of aluminum cans (beer and pop only) can be put in containers by the doors of church or by the garages behind the rectory.

LECTORS AND DISTRIBUTORS - A new schedule for the next three months will be out soon.  We ask all Lectors and Distributors to please consider taking one 6:30 PM Mass during the next three months.  Call Janice Godlewski weekdays at 612-789-7238 and let her know which weekend you can help.

PLAYERS NEEDED FOR FALL SPORTS - Pope John Paul II is in need of players for our fall season of sports.  Any child in 4th - 8th grade with parents registered in the parish can play.  We offer Volleyball (girls) and Soccer (girls & boys).  We are also in need of Coaches, Athletic Board Members and help in coordinating for our upcoming school year.  Please contact Kyle at 612-388-7135, if your child, you, or someone you know would be interested.

 

                              

 

 

 

AN EVENING OF COMFORT AND REMEMBERANCE - Have you experienced the loss of a baby before or after birth?  Would you like to commemorate and honor your child’s life in a beautiful, healing Mass?  Whether your loss is recent or was years ago, you are warmly invited to attend an Archdiocesan Mass of God’s Children at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 3rd at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1900 Stanford Avenue in St. Paul.  Fellowship to follow in Steiner Hall.  This Mass is sponsored by Nativity parish and by “God’s Children”, a ministry sponsored by the Archdiocesan Office for Family, Laity, Youth and Young Adults.  For more information or to volunteer call 651-291-4488.
