EAST SIDE OLD TIMERS “53” STAG REUNION - The East Side Old Timers would like to invite all fellows who at one time or another engaged or sponsored sports on the east side or southeast communities to a 53rd Reunion.  Event will be Thursday, September 18, at Holy Cross Kolbe Center, 17th Avenue & 4th Street N.E.  Tickets can be purchased at the Holy Cross parish office for $5.00 or at the door the evening of event for $6.00.

SHRINE TOUR - Join Holy Cross Church for Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine Tour on Tuesday, October 7, 2008.  This Shrine, nestled in the rolling hills of the Coulee Region, was newly dedicated on July 31, 2008.  The tour will stop in Stockholm, Wisconsin for coffee and rolls, then proceed to LaCrosse where we will tour the Shrine and celebrate Mass in the new Shrine church.  Lunch will be at the Culina Mariana restaurant located in the Pilgrim Center.  Deadline for registration is September 23.  Cost is $55.00 per person.  651-777-7170.

“Mystery Gift” are needed for people of all ages.

Bake, bake, bake for the Country Store/Cake Walk.

 

Our “Big Wheel” still needs prizes.  Items can be brought to the Rectory this week.

 

Silent Auction items are needed.  Theatre tickets, sporting event tickets, art objects, collectibles, etc.

 

Think of a fun idea for a “Theme Basket” and fill the basket with items relating to your theme.

 

2 liter bottles of Soda Pop are needed for Pop Toss.

FESTIVAL “SPECIAL NEEDS”

 

There are a couple of specialty areas that need to be covered for the Festival:

 

Night watch - Sunday, Sept. 21 from 2:00 to 7:00 AM.  All you need to do is sit (awake) in your vehicle at the entrance to the Festival grounds on 17th & 4th Street.  If you can help, call Janice at 612-789-7238.

 

Set-up and clean-up.  Guys, dads, kids, pick-up trucks, ladies are needed on Saturday morning (9:00 AM) and Sunday evening (5:00 PM).  We will be setting up the gym for dinner and the playground for the Festival.  After the Festival, clean-up help is needed.
