FATHER GLEN’S THOUGHTS…..

Our readings this Sunday speak of the importance of forgiveness for the Christian.  If we cherish wrath, how will we be able to hope for forgiveness by God?  Forgiveness can be the hardest of things to come up with in our heart when we are very upset about something or with someone.  Jesus’ parable in the Gospel assures us that if God is willing to forgive our sins, we must be willing to try to forgive the sins of others toward us.  The Eucharist provides us the very life of God to be able to forgive just as Jesus did whom we receive in communion.  May Our Lady help us to call upon the strength of the love of Jesus when we find ourselves harboring hardness of heart toward another.

Next weekend will be the festival at Holy Cross.  Come and join in the joy of this event and support the Catholic community in Northeast.  It will be a glorious time.

This weekend we hold the special mass for our 125th Anniversary at noon and the program which follows at St. Maron’s Cedars Hall.  The Archbishop will be with us to honor this historic moment as we celebrate the life and faith of our parish community and look forward to a glorious future spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Northeast.
