This is the week to:

Buy and/or sell your raffle tickets. More are available.
Bring items for the Fancy Booth - crochet, knit, carve, paint, holiday ornaments, etc.  Design a theme basket filled with items relating to your theme.
We need “mystery gifts” for people of all ages for the Parcel Post Booth.  The gifts are sorted and remain a “mystery” until bought and opened!
Volunteer your time to work.  Can you work at bingo or in the dining room?  We need a lot of volunteers including set-up and clean-up.

EAST SIDE OLD TIMERS “52nd” STAG REUNION: The East Side Old Timers would like to invite all fellows who at one time or another engaged or sponsored sports in the Northeast or Southeast communities to a “52nd” Stag reunion on September 21, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Holy Cross Kolbe Center, 1630-4th Street N.E.  Refreshments and food will be served.  Tickets available at the Holy Cross office weekdays for $5.00 or purchased the day of the event for $6.00. 

THE CHURCH OF ALL SAINTS Annual Fall Festival 435 Fourth St. N.E., TODAY, September 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Live Music, Cakes ’n Bakes, raffles, bingo, Dollar Boutique, Meat Raffle, flea market, Food/Beer Garden.  Main Raffle $2,500 in prize money with 1st prize of $1,000.

IN OCTOBER IT WILL BE 25 YEARS since the first Society of Christ priest came to Minneapolis.  At Holy Cross we will celebrate this anniversary by giving thanks to God for their dedicated work at our parish.  On Sunday, October 8, 2006 at our 11:30 Mass the solemn Eucharist will be celebrated.  After Mass there will be a banquet in Kolbe Hall.  Tickets for banquet are available in the Parish Office.  Cost is $35.00.  All parishioners are invited.

“HAPPENINGS” BOOKS - The Educational Task Force will again be selling the “Happenings” books for $30.00 each.  There’s a $1.00 off gasoline each month from Super America which is honored at different stations, also 50 percent off of car washes, along with many discounts at restaurants and bars and other businesses.  You can contact Dennis at 612-788-4209 to order your copy.

JOIN BISHOP ROBERT CARLSON in supporting the Catholic theater production company, Epiphany Studio Productions, at their Evening to Celebrate Pope John Paul the Great on Monday, September 25th at St. Olaf Church in downtown Minneapolis.  Bishop Carlson will celebrate Mass in memory of Pope John Paul II and later will deliver a keynote address about his life & legacy.  Mass begins at 5:15 p.m. and the banquet begins at 6:00 p.m. in Fleming Hall.  Evening will include catered dinner, silent art auction, live music, brief performance excerpts and more.  Proceeds to benefit the non-profit theater apostolate of Epiphany Productions.  Tickets are $50.  Call 651-336-3302 or 763-502-0792 or visit www.EpiphanyStudio.com for more information.
