BAKE SALE - The Polish Rosary Society is planning a Bake Sale for Saturday, September 13 after the 4:30 PM Mass and Sunday, September 14 after the morning Masses.  Donations will be greatly appreciated.

SHRINE TOUR - Join Holy Cross Church for Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine Tour on Tuesday, October 7, 2008.  This Shrine, nestled in the rolling hills of the Coulee Region, was newly dedicated on July 31, 2008.  The tour will stop in Stockholm, Wisconsin for coffee and rolls, then proceed to LaCrosse where we will tour the Shrine and celebrate Mass in the new Shrine church.  Lunch will be at the Culina Mariana restaurant located in the Pilgrim Center.  Cost is $55.00 per person.  651-777-7170.

INFORMATIONAL SEMINAR - You are cordially invited to attend an informational seminar Planning Ahead for Seniors for all the Right Reasons on Wednesday, September 10 at 11:00 AM in Holy Cross Kolbe Center.  Speakers will include: Mary Hanson, Social Services Consultant at Catholic Eldercare, Senior Service and Housing, Tom McKinley, and Tom Glodek, Kapala-Glodek Funeral Homes.  Light refreshments served.

ATTENTION TEEN AND ADULTS - Jeff Cavins’ Bible study, The Great Adventure: A Journey Through the Bible, is coming to Holy Cross this fall on the second and fourth Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.  This program is offered in a two-year time frame from October to March.  Registration ends September 8.  To register call 612-789-7238 weekdays.  For more information about The Great Adventure, go to www.thebibletime.com.  Holy Cross will have two bible study groups starting this fall.  It is recommended that you do The Great Adventure first and The Adventures of Matthew second.

COFFEE AND DONUT SUNDAY - On the second Sunday of every month from September to April, after all morning Masses in Kolbe Center, we host Coffee and Donut Sunday.  This is an opportunity to come and visit with fellow parishioners.  If you , your family or group would be interested in hosting a Coffee and Donut Sunday or have questions, call the Parish Office weekdays at 612-789-7238.

EAST SIDE OLD TIMERS “53” STAG REUNION - The East Side Old Timers would like to invite all fellows who at one time or another engaged or sponsored sports on the east side or southeast communities to a 53rd Reunion.  All players and coaches are invited to celebrate this anniversary with the “Old Timers.”  Event will be Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Holy Cross Kolbe Center, 17th Avenue & 4th Street N.E.  Tickets can be purchased at the Holy Cross parish office for $5.00 or at the door the evening of the event for $6.00.
