· Senior Mass in Church at 9:00 AM with social following in Kolbe Hall.

Saturday, September 11

· Polish School begins 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.

Sunday, September 12

· Coffee & Donuts after all morning Masses in Kolbe.

· Family Holy Hour 3:00 PM in Church.

 

FALL CARNIVAL - St. Timothy’s Fall Carnival, 707-89th Avenue N.E. in Blaine is September 10, 11 and 12.  Friday, Sept. 10: 5:00 - 10:30 PM, Saturday, Sept. 11: Noon - 10:30 PM and Sunday, Sept, 12: Noon - 6:00 PM.  Games, rides, food, bingo, fun run and more.  Home cooked Roast Beef Dinner with all the trimmings - Saturday 4-7 PM and Sunday Noon - 4:00 PM.  763-784-1329.

FALL FESTIVAL -  All Saints Church, 5th Street and 5th Avenue N.E. Fall Festival, Sunday, September 12, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  Main Raffle/$2,500 Cash Prizes.  Two winners for Jax Brunch for 2.  Two Viking vs. Lions tickets on 9-26 includes Jax Brunch and bus to game.  Food, refreshments, live music, flea market/Bargain Boutique, meat raffle, pull tabs, bingo, Cakes ‘n Bakes, Sweets ‘n Treats, Wine & Spirits raffle.

SENIOR CITIZENS’ EDUCATION - University of St. Thomas Center for Senior Citizens’ Education is pleased to announce a new collaboration with Catholic Eldercare.  On Thursday, October 7, the lecture - Magnificent Melodies: The Piano Music of Felix Mendelssohn will be presented by Dr. Suzanne Schons who is on the music faculty of the University of St. Thomas.  $15.00 fee per person.  Event will be from 1:00 - 2:30 PM at River Village East, 2919 Randolph St. N.E. - 612-605-2500.  There is ample free parking.  To receive a registration form please call Catholic Eldercare at 612-605-2500 or call “The Center” at 651-962-5180.

FALL FESTIVAL

September 18 & 19

 

 

VOLUNTEER - Holy Cross Fall Festival depends on our great volunteers.  Please volunteer.  We’d appreciate your help!  There are many areas that need help. Call the Parish Office weekdays at 612-789-7238 or one of the chairpersons listed in the bulletin. 

 

RAFFLE TICKETS -  Please sell/and or buy your Raffle Tickets.  We have more in the Parish Office.

 

PADRE’S PEDAL PUB - Buy a ticket to win a Nordeast Pedal Pub Party with Fr. Glen on Friday, October 1.  Buy a ticket for ten dollars and you and 5 friends could win a fun time with Father!  Three winners will be chosen.

 

ALTAR BOY RAFFLE - The altar boys will be selling raffle tickets for $1.00 each for a chance to win a Gift Certificate to Rainbow, Cub and Target.  There will be three winners. 

 

BOTTLE TOSS - 2-liter bottles of pop are needed.  All flavors will work!  Bottles can be brought any time to church in a bag marked “Festival” or the Parish Office weekdays.

 

BIG WHEEL - Prizes are needed!!! Would your employer or a favorite restaurant you frequent be willing to donate a gift or gift certificate for our Festival?

 

FANCY BOOTH - Crafts of all kinds are needed.  Beads, needle art, etc. Donations of crafts or home-made items can be brought to the Rectory or the school basement on Sept. 18.

 

MAKE A BASKET - What a fun project!  Choose a theme and fill a basket with related items.  Here are some ideas:  Music Lover, Thanks for the Memories, Get Well.

 

MYSTERY GIFTS - Wonder what’s in that box?  Surprises galore!!  Gift items are needed for people all ages.

 

SILENT AUCTION - Additional items are needed.  We can use collectibles, Gift Certificates, home furnishing, donation of services, etc.

 

PICKLES - Commercially prepared (from a store) pickles are needed for our Chicken Dinner.

 

CAKES - We will need LOTS of cakes!  Pick up cake boxes after Masses on September 11 and 12.  Bring cakes to Kolbe Hall September 18 or 19.

 

ADVERTISE our Festival by inviting neighbors and  friends.  Encourage people to attend.
