Text Box: BULLETIN CONNECTION

Rules, statutes, and commandments help us live in a society. We recognize that these limits on unfettered freedom make it possible for humankind to develop a community that can serve a common good. And yet not every law carries equal weight. A “No Parking” zone in front of a hospital is generally a good idea, unless one is rushing a critically ill child into the emergency room.

In today’s Gospel Jesus points out that God’s laws take precedence over human precepts. God’s precepts are not just directed at forming external behavior. As Jesus makes clear, it is one’s internal attitude that can be in need of reformation. Ultimately, the commandments of the Lord require a change of heart!

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

JESUS’ reign is one of love and mercy.  Out of love He came into the world.  He reigned in the Crib - He reigned from the Cross.  Behold the price He paid to win our salvation, our hearts.  The Lord is kind and merciful, slow to anger and rich in compassion.

Let us spend time with HIM in the Adoration Chapel to praise, honor, and give thanks for all HIS love and mercy.

For information please call 612-605-2558 or 612-781-4806.  Thank you.

WHAT IS A MAIL-BACK ENVELOPE?  A “mail-back envelope” is included in your envelope set.  Parishioners can simply place their check offering into the mail-back envelope when they are unable to attend Mass and drop it into the mail.  It provides an easy way for members to support the parish when they are not able to participate in the Sunday liturgy at Holy Cross.

Text Box: Please remember Holy Cross Parish in your Will.
