Text Box: MESSAGE FROM
FATHER JENSON

As summer draws to a close, St. Paul reminds us in our second reading that we should be transformed by the renewal of our minds. School and Religious Education classes will be starting up for our children, but adults too should be seeking to transform ourselves by learning more about our faith. There is always so much more to know about our God and his ways and what he calls us to personally. Let the beginning of the new school year be a call for renewal for each one of us.

One way that I will be renewing myself will begin with some travel as I hop on the Amtrak train for Spokane this Sunday night the 31st. While I dearly love being with my wonderful parishioners, all three parishes full, I am not opposed to getting away to see new things and recharge the battery, so to speak. When I get back I'll no doubt have many stories to share and renewed enthusiasm to serve. But remember, while I'm away, you still have to behave. I don't want to hear that my three parishes have been carrying on while I'm gone. Father wants to hear good reports about you when he gets back!

Holy Hour and 8:30 AM Mass at St. Anthony, next Saturday Sept. 6, are cancelled while Fr. Glen is away.
