HOLY CROSS FESTIVAL - BOTTLES OF POP - We are having a “new” booth at the Fall Festival this year and need many 2-liter bottles of soda pop.  Any kind will do.  Please help.  You may bring the pop to church or the Rectory weekdays.  Thank you!

Do you have “Mystery Gift” items around your house.  Useable items are needed for people of all ages.

 

Pickles are needed for the Chicken Dinner.

 

Sell and/or buy your Raffle Tickets.  Maybe your friends are feeling “lucky” and would love to take a chance on our cash prizes!

 

Prizes are needed for the “Big Wheel.” Would your employer or a restaurant you frequent be willing to donate an item or gift certificate for our Festival?

 

Silent Auction items are needed.  Theatre tickets, sporting event tickets, art objects, collectibles, etc.

 

Think of a fun idea for a “Theme Basket” and fill the basket  with items relating to your theme.

POPE JOHN PAUL II SCHOOL NEWS

 

Welcome Ms. Linda Mayer!  Ms. Mayer has accepted the position of cook for the 2008-2009 school year.

 

Open House: Pope John Paul II Catholic School is hosting an Open House for students and their families on Thursday, August 28 at 6:00 PM.  If you are interested in learning about our school, please feel free to drop in and check it out.

 

Thank you to all who continue to donate Campbells’ and Boxtops for Education product labels as well as Kemps and Land O’Lakes milk caps.  We earned $933.86 through these programs last year.  Thanks too to all of you who use your Target card and named Pope John Paul II Catholic School as the receiving school for the Target for Education program.  We earned $1,616.20 in the 2007-2008 school year!

ENGLISH CLASSES - The International Institute of Minnesota, 1694 Como Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota will begin English Classes for the Fall Session September 8-December 12, 2008.
