EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

 

Twelve Biblical reasons for wanting to spend one hour each week with Jesus in the Adoration Chapel. 

 

3. ONE QUIET HOUR WITH HIM EACH WEEK.  “Where your treasure is, there is your heart.”  “Could you not watch one hour with ME?” (Mt. 6:21; 26-40).

4. When you look upon the Sacred Host, you will look upon Jesus.  “Indeed, this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks upon the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life.  Him I will raise up on the last day.”

Text Box: MESSAGE FROM FATHER JENSON This weekend in our readings we see Peter and his role as the rock of the church that Jesus came to build. Through Peter Jesus gave the church the power of the keys of the kingdom, the ministry of forgiveness of sins. This is part of the origin of the Sacrament of Confession in the Bible. Our present Holy Father, Benedict the XVI, is the direct successor of Peter in an unbroken line of the laying on of hands in ordination going all the way back to Peter, two thousand years ago. May our Holy Father the Pope, and the bishops, be good and worthy shepherds of the Church, the flock of the Lord. On another travel related note, besides my own trip to Spokane, we are waiting for the brochures from a travel agent for us to distribute to the churches in our cluster. I have been to the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe near LaCrosse, WI and it’s gorgeous! We are going to have a motor coach tour there on Tuesday, October 7, from our tri-parishes, Holy Cross, St. Anthony and St. Hedwig. It will be a day trip, down and back the same day, leaving around 7:00 AM and getting home at supper time. We will have more information in next week’s bulletin as well as who to contact. This will be something not to be missed folks.
