Welcome to Church of the Holy Cross

FAITH IN THE FUTURE

In the story of the Canaanite woman, we see Jesus in the process of transformation. Because of her faith and persistence, He rethinks His mission. He is open to changing when challenged, even if it is by someone far below Him in the social structure of His time and place.

Who in your life is challenging you to change?
How will you respond?

WE WELCOME SISTER DIGNA & SISTER PHILOTHEA who will reside in the Holy Cross Convent, assist at Northeast Regional Catholic School, and teach parish First Communion classes. In the past Sister Digna taught at Immaculate Conception School and Sister Philothea taught at Holy Cross School for 17 years.

NO BELLS THIS WEEK. The Holy Cross Church bell tower was struck by lightening about 2:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12. Father David was awakened by the loud crack of thunder, flash of light and sound of ringing bells. Upon investigating, Father found not only ringing bells, but many lights on in church. There was no damage to the bells but the computerized programming system, which does have surge protection, has been shipped to Verdin Bell Company in Cincinnati for repair.
