| NO BELLS THIS WEEK. The Holy Cross Church bell tower was struck by lightening about 2:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12. Father David was awakened by the loud crack of thunder, flash of light and sound of ringing bells. Upon investigating, Father found not only ringing bells, but many lights on in church. There was no damage to the bells but the computerized programming system, which does have surge protection, has been shipped to Verdin Bell Company in Cincinnati for repair. |
