GOD has not only given us so many beautiful creatures, plants and trees, but HE was not content until HE gave us HIMSELF.  JESUS desires that we speak to HIM with confidence.  It is for this purpose that HE remains in the Host.  Visit the Adoration Chapel and speak with HIM.

HOLY CROSS CHOIR - Do you enjoy singing in worship?  Would you enjoy being part of an important and fun ministry?  We are looking to revive the Holy Cross Adult Choir.  Music speaks to the soul in a way that the written or spoken word doesn’t, so please consider joining the choir.  You do not need to read music, just have a willing spirit to learn and make new friends.  Bring a friend and give it a try.  We plan to hold our first rehearsal on Wednesday, September 9th and will sing in worship at 10:00 on Sunday, October 4th.  Feel free  to contact Chris Brand, parish organist and music director, if you have any questions.  You may call him at 612-790-5596 or contact him via email:  brand0821@q.com

TWIN CITIES POLISH FESTIVAL - The Twin Cities Polish Festival is Saturday, August 15 from 10 AM to 10 PM and Sunday, August 16 from 11 AM to 6 PM on Main Street from Hennepin Avenue to the Third Avenue Bridge.  Info: www.tcpolishfestival.org.  See Polish culture in all of its glory! 

CHURCH FESTIVAL - Church of St. Cyril and Methodius, 1315 Second Street N.E. is having their Church Festival TODAY, Sunday, August 16 beginning with a Polka Mass at 10:30 AM.  Festival from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM.  Food: Polish Sausage, hot dogs, cabbage rolls, Hispanic food, Games & Entertainment.  All are welcome.

SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE TOUR will be Wednesday, September 30.  The tour to LaCrosse, Wisconsin includes: coffee stop in Stockholm, hot lunch buffet, mass, time to tour the grounds, deluxe motor coach and tour director.  Cost is $52.50 per person.  Departs Holy Cross at 7:00 AM and returns at 6:30 PM.  To register or for information call Joan at 612-379-4488.

GARDENS & WEEDS - Holy Cross has beautiful flower gardens and we also have a healthy weed growth.  Help in pulling weeds would be greatly appreciated.  Contact the parish office or just go ahead and weed the gardens at your convenience.

CITIZENSHIP CLASSES - Learn U.S. history and government for the citizenship interview.  Saturday mornings, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Sept. 12 to Oct. 17 or Oct. 31 to Dec. 12.  Classes meet once a week for 6 weeks.  Cost for materials is $15.  Call Corleen at 651-647-0191 ext. 307.  Classes held at International Institute of Minnesota, 1694 Como Ave., St. Paul.
