Text Box: HOLY CROSS FALL FESTIVAL September 17 & 18 Here are some things that can be done now: Buy and/or sell your Festival raffle tickets. We have more in the Parish Office if needed. Design a theme basket for the Arts and Crafts Booth - Pick a theme - Fun and Games, Sports Fan, Loaf of Bread, Tool Time, Guest Bath, etc. and fill a basket with items relating to your theme. Make items for the Fancy Booth. Start collecting (searching) for donations of “mystery gifts” for people of all ages for the Mystery Gift Booth. Useable items for this booth are needed. 2 liters of pop needed for Bottlemania. All favors will work. Think of where you would like to work. We need and would like lots of volunteers. Questions? SUMMER FEST 2011 - St. Anthony of Padua Summer Fest 2011 TODAY, August 7th from Noon to 5:00 PM on the parish grounds located at 804-2nd Street N.E.  Polka Mass at 11:30 AM.  Music on the grounds featuring Dick Macko Orchestra. food, prizes, crafts, pull tabs, bingo, dancing, baked goods, beer and much more.  Cash prizes totaling $1,000.00.  Celebrate summer on the grounds of the historic first parish in Minneapolis.

FAREWELL RECEPTION - You are invited next Sunday, August 14th to join us in bidding farewell to Deacon Albert after the 8:00 and 10:00 AM Masses in Kolbe Center and to wish Deacon Albert well as he heads back to the seminary. Plan to join us.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES - Confirmation Classes for persons with disabilities ages 16 and older will be held on Saturday, August 20th and 27th at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 6730 Nicollet Avenue in Richfield from 9:30 to 11:30 AM.  Both classes are mandatory for guardians and candidates.  The Sacrament of Confirmation will be available at the Archbishop’s Mass for Persons with Disabilities on September 11, 2011.  Pre-registration is required.  Call Deacon Sean or Joan Curtan at 651-291-4543 or email: curtans@archspm.org to register or if you have questions.
Text Box: HOLY CROSS 125th ANNIVERSARY For our September 11 125th Anniversary Banquet, seating will be in the order reservations are received. Your name, table number and menu choice will be at the door at Cedars Hall on the day of the banquet. Tickets will not be mailed. You are encouraged to make your reservation as soon as possible. A photo history of Holy Cross will be shown at the 125th Anniversary Banquet. We are looking for photos taken 30 years ago and earlier. If you have a photo that you would like to share, please contact the parish office. Your original photo will be returned.

MEMORIAL MASS - There will be a Memorial Mass for Sister M. Faber Narog, OSF on Saturday, August 13, at 10:00 AM at Church of All Saints, 435-5th Street N.E.  Sister Faber Narog died on May 1, 2011 in Sylvania.  Eternal rest grant on to Sister, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon her.  May she rest in peace.

TAMBURITZANS - America’s Premier Folk Ensemble presenting the music, song and dances of eastern Europe and neighboring cultures will be performing on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Mounds View High School.  For more information call 651-621-7400.

A PLANNING MEETING FOR THE HOLY CROSS FALL FESTIVAL is scheduled for Monday, August 8th at 6:30 PM in the Pioneer Room.  Come and help plan our 2nd big event in September!
