Jesus was kind. He knew that the crowd who had gathered to listen to Him needed food for their bellies as well as for their spirits. He chose to take advantage of this "teachable moment" to co-create community with them. You're all hungry, He told them, so share what you have with those around you. And they did and soon every person was satisfied. Who is hungry in your neighborhood?

Our Confirmation Candidates are sponsoring an Aluminum Recycling Drive
through September to help purchase new tables and chairs for Kolbe Center. The
cost for the tables and chairs totals approximately $17,000. Thus far we have
$7,140.00. The cost of one table and ten chairs is $600.00. Bags of aluminum
cans (pop or beer) can be put in the containers by the doors of the church or by
the garages behind the rectory. If you cannot save aluminum, cash donations are
