Text Box: MESSAGE FROM FATHER JENSON In our Gospel this weekend we hear the familiar story of the feeding of the five thousand by our Lord Jesus from five loaves and two fish. The bounty of the Lord’s love for us is made plainly evident in this miracle. But equally evident is the depth of compassion for the crowd that Jesus displays. The apostles were content to ask Jesus to send them away to find something for themselves to eat. He wanted to take care of them himself. Jesus always desires to take care of you and me, himself. Will you let our Eucharistic Lord Jesus take care of you? Let Jesus lead you and direct you, and you will find yourself cared for dearly. I am back from vacation on the North Shore and definitely experienced the love of God while I was there. To look out on that vast lake, more like a sea really, was to realize the majesty of God who made it and to be humbled to be able to take the time and to have the resources to go and sit by the lake and drink in the beauty and the love of God. May each of you have such an experience this summer. And while your at it, don’t forget that its festival Sunday at St. Anthony’s this weekend, Polka Days, from 12:30 after the 11:30 AM Polka Mass until 5:00 PM. Come and enjoy the fun and support our sister parish. Besides, your pastor will be working there, and can you ever get enough chances to see that wonderful guy? See you there. Father Glen Jenson
