STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS - Archdiocesan strategic planning process decisions will be announced at weekend Masses on October 16th and 17th, 2010. These decisions are the result of a consultative process launched in early 2009. The strategic planning process decisions are guided by the mission of the Church and will follow the 7 principles the Archbishop identified in February 2009. Those 7 principles are: 1. Full Sacramental ministry. 2. Competent pastoral leaders. 3. Special concern for the needs of the poor, marginalized, and immigrant. 4. Catholic school support and inclusion in the planning process. 5. Every parish will be involved in this discussion. 6. Every parish will be expected to evaluate their own resources and adjust accordingly. 7. Respect, patience and honesty in all discussions to build on strengths. You can find out more about the archdiocesan planning process by visiting http://planning.archspm.org |
