Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time - In today’s reading we have JESUS feeding the large crowd with five barley loaves and two fish.  Let us put our complete trust in JESUS and let HIM be the center of our lives.  Visit the Adoration Chapel.

HOLY CROSS “RUMMAGE SALE” is August 5, 6, & 7.  Donations are welcome!  Bring good, useable items that you no longer need.  Please, no clothing, TV’s or furniture.  Bring items to the garages behind the rectory weekdays 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Questions?  Call 612-789-7238 weekdays.  Thank you to the ladies who have been working for weeks to prepare for the sale.

FALL FESTIVAL IS 
September 19 & 20

Here are some things that can be done now:

Design a theme basket for the Arts and Crafts Booth.  Pick a theme - Movie Time, Scrapbooking, Leisure Time, etc. and fill a basket with items relating to your theme.
Make items for the Fancy Booth - crochet, knit, carve, paint, holiday ornaments.
Start collect (searching) for donations of “mystery gifts” for people of all ages for the Parcel Post Booth.    Useable items for this booth are needed.
Think of where you would like to work.  We need and would like lots of volunteers.
Help plan and run the Festival Silent Auction.

POLKA DAZE - St. Anthony of Padua has announced their Annual Polka Daze Festival for Sunday, August 2nd on the parish grounds at 804-2nd Street N.E.  It will begin with a Polka Mass at 11:00 AM and continue on the grounds until 5:00 PM.  Event includes cash drawings, food, door prizes, and live polka music with the Dick Macko Orchestra as well as games for children and adults.  For more information call 612-379-2324.
