Text Box: HOLY CROSS FALL FESTIVAL September 17 & 18 Here are some things that can be done now: Buy and/or sell your Festival raffle tickets. We have more in the Parish Office if needed. Design a theme basket for the Arts and Crafts Booth - Pick a theme - Campers, Sewing, Back to School, Saturday Night At The Movies, etc. and fill a basket with items relating to your theme. Make items for the Fancy Booth. Start collecting (searching) for donations of “mystery gifts” for people of all ages for the Mystery Gift Booth. Useable items for this booth are needed. Text Box: HOLY CROSS 125th ANNIVERSARY Reservations for the September 11 125th Anniversary Banquet are coming in. Seating will be in the order reservations are received. Your name, table number and menu choice will be at the door at Cedars Hall on the day of the banquet. Tickets will not be mailed. Parishioners are encouraged to make their reservation as soon as possible. “Hall of Faith” 125th Anniversary Plaques are now on the wall by Kolbe Center. Be a part of this unique tribute to the history of our parish and our loved ones. Order forms are available at the doors of the church.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES BEGIN THIS FALL - Confirmation preparation classes will begin in September for all Northeast high school youth 9th grade and older.  Classes will be held on Wednesday night at the Pope John Paul II school building.  Candidates will be confirmed on April 19, 2012.  Registration forms are available at the parish office weekdays.  For information please call the parish office weekdays at 612-789-7238.

NE CATHOLIC COMMUNITY LIGHT WEIGH will be hosting an orientation meeting at Holy Cross.  Would you like to learn how to overcome temptation and eat the foods you enjoy, while you grow closer to God and lose weight?  Prevention Magazine chose Light Weigh because it met their criteria for a safe and healthy faith based diet program.  There are no weigh-ins.  The Light Weigh Bible study/DVD series will have an orientation on Monday, August 22 at 7:00 PM in the church library.

BAPTISM CLASS - Baptism Class is required for parents and Godparents before desired date for Baptism.  If you are planning to attend a class, you need to call the Holy Cross Parish Office at 612-789-7238 to register.  Baptism class is held in the conference room at St. Hedwig’s River Village, 29th and Randolph St. N.E. at 7:00 PM.  The next class is Tuesday, August 2nd.

MARIAN PILGRIMAGE to Our Lady of Good Help in Green Bay, Wisconsin Oct. 3-4, 2011. First shrine of a Church approved apparition in the United States where many conversions and healings have taken place.  Will also visit several other shrines.  The bus will leave the All Saints Church parking lot.  Cost is $169 double occupancy and $219 single occupancy.  Down payment of $50 is due by August 10.  For more information/reservation and brochure call Mary at 612-379-3093.
