JUST AND KIND
In today's reading from the book of Wisdom, our God teaches us that, "those who are just must be kind." This is a revolutionary idea. Imagine it being applied systematically to social, political, and personal issues. Justice would be separated from revenge. Some of the distance between the judge and the sinner would be
removed. Can you imagine how our world would change
if we treated one another as our God treats us?

KEEP
SAVING THOSE CANS!
Cash
donations also accepted.
Our Confirmation Candidates are sponsoring an Aluminum Recycling Drive
through September to help purchase new tables and chairs for Kolbe Center. The
cost for the tables and chairs totals approximately $17,000. Thus far we have
$7,140.00. This past week the Tuesday Toilers recycled 1,355 lbs. of aluminum
and received $594.00 for this project. The cost of one table and ten chairs is
$600.00. Please help us. Bags of aluminum cans (pop or beer) can be put in the
containers by the doors of the church or by the garages behind the rectory. If
you cannot save aluminum, cash donations are also accepted! Questions? Call
Sister Benita evenings at 612-789-9168. |
