Welcome to Church of the Holy Cross

In today's reading from the book of Wisdom, our God teaches us that, "those who are just must be kind." This is a revolutionary idea. Imagine it being applied systematically to social, political, and personal issues. Justice would be separated from revenge. Some of the distance between the judge and the sinner would be removed. Can you imagine how our world would change if we treated one another as our God treats us?

Cash donations also accepted.

Our Confirmation Candidates are sponsoring an Aluminum Recycling Drive through September to help purchase new tables and chairs for Kolbe Center. The cost for the tables and chairs totals approximately $17,000. Thus far we have $7,140.00. This past week the Tuesday Toilers recycled 1,355 lbs. of aluminum and received $594.00 for this project. The cost of one table and ten chairs is $600.00. Please help us. Bags of aluminum cans (pop or beer) can be put in the containers by the doors of the church or by the garages behind the rectory. If you cannot save aluminum, cash donations are also accepted! Questions? Call Sister Benita evenings at 612-789-9168.

Strong is His love for us. Let Jesus, who is faithful and true, possess your heart. Jesus is waiting in the Adoration Chapel - true God and true Man - hidden under the Sacred Species. Jesus waits for you, longs for you, is always ready to welcome you, and listen to you. Go before HIM in an hour of quiet adoration and prayer.

Visit Jesus in the Adoration Chapel located in the convent of Holy Cross. Open hours: Monday 7:00 a.m.; Tuesday 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 4:00 p.m. For information call 763-788-4729 or 612-781-4806. Thank you.
CRAFTERS WANTED - Holy Cross will be sponsoring a Craft Fair on October 5 and 6. Anyone interested in participating is asked to call Beth Ann at 763-571-8781.
