Welcome to Church of the Holy Cross

BE QUIET!

Jesus teaches the apostles something He learned from Mary, His mother - that when you don't understand fully what God is doing in your life you allow your awareness of His presence to rest quietly in your heart. Peter gave the right answer - that Jesus was the Messiah - but did he understand what that would mean not only for Jesus but also for himself? Jesus gives him some indication then asks him to just sit quietly with the knowledge. Twice this week, give yourself at least 10 minutes of quiet time and ask Jesus to help you know Him more intimately.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all Fathers, Grandfathers, Step-Fathers, Godfathers and Fathers-to-Be. May God always bless and watch over you and those in your care. May you always be an example of God's love.

                                                 ADORATION NEWS

June 18th was the Feast of the "Most Sacred Heart of Jesus", and June 19th was the Feast of the "Immaculate Heart of Mary". This should remind us of God's love and care for us, and that HE gave HIS Mother to us.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart should bring us to a union with Jesus who we know truly to be in the Eucharist.

The Adoration Chapel is located in the convent of Holy Cross. Open hours: Monday 7:00 a.m., Wednesday 10:00 a.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. and Friday 4:00 p.m. For more information call 612-605-2558 or 612-781-4806. Thank you!
PETER'S PENCE COLLECTION - Next weekend our parish will participate in the St. Peter's Pence Collection for the works of the Holy Father. This collection enables the Holy Father to respond to the requests for emergency funds from the most disadvantaged throughout the world. This special appeal is an opportunity to demonstrate justice and kindness to our brothers and sisters in need. Please pray for the Holy Father's works and contribute generously to the appeal.
