Text Box: OUR FALL FESTIVAL
WILL BE HERE BEFORE
WE KNOW IT!
September 15 & 16

Here are some ideas of what can be done now:

Make items for the Fancy Booth - crochet, knit, carve, paint, holiday ornaments, etc.
Design a theme basket for the Arts and Crafts Booth. Pick a theme - Baking, Leisure Time, Baby, etc. - and fill the basket with items relating to your theme.
Start collecting (searching) for donations of “mystery gifts” for people of all ages for the Parcel Post Booth. Useable items for the booth are needed.
Think of where you would like to volunteer your time to work. Volunteer to be the chairman or chair couple!

Questions? Call the Rectory weekdays at 612-789-7238.

CATHOLIC ELDERCARE OPEN HOUSE - Please join Catholic Eldercare on Main in celebrating the completion of their beautifully remodeled care center in Northeast Minneapolis.  Months of work by designers and builders have produced intimate dining spaces on the resident floors, user friendly nurses stations, community space in the memory care unit, and fresh new colors and furnishings all around.  Stop in for refreshments and tours between 3:00 and 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 817 Main St. N.E., Minneapolis. 612-379-1370.

Text Box: Good news!! Because of your generosity we have achieved 80% of the goal to paint the final phase of the Church. I have signed the contract with Conrad Schmidt Studios. Scaffolding work will begin this week and painting will begin the week of June 25th. The work should take about three months to complete. During this time the scaffolding will cause some inconvenience and affect the lighting and the sound of the organ. We will all have to be patient during this time and look forward to the end of this project.

On behalf of the Trustees, Finance Council and Parish Staff, I thank all who have made pledges or gifts to this campaign.

God bless you!

Father David Ostrowski

BIRTHDAY WISHES - Happy Birthday to Holy Cross parishioner Ann Long who will be celebrating her 96th Birthday on June 22nd.  May God continue to bless her.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY - The Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet on Tuesday, June 26, at 6:30 PM in the Parish Library.  At the meeting we will be working on prayer shawls to be given to others in need of comfort and prayer.  Please join us.  If you would like to be a part of this Ministry but are unable to attend this meeting, or would prefer to make shawls on your own that you would donate to the Ministry, please contact Mary at 612-379-4090.

SIPIRITUAL RECOVERY -  If you have a desire to learn more about the signs, symptoms, and a spiritual recovery plan for the family diseases of alcoholism and chemical dependency, attend the upcoming talk by Father Joe Gillespie at St. Peter’s Church on Wed., June 20th at 7:00 PM in the Social Hall.  St. Peter’s is located at 6730 Nicollet Avenue South in Richfield.  Supervised child care will be offered by calling the Parish office 612-866-5089 by June 17th.
