Welcome to Church of the Holy Cross

FREELY GIVE!

"The gift you have received, give as a gift." Jesus told His disciples as He sent them out on their first missionary journey into the Jewish community. They were to freely heal whoever asked for their help. To do so was why they had been sent. The gifts they bestowed were signs that the message of love for God and neighbor that they also brought was of God. If Jesus gave you instructions today, what would you have to give?

Thank you to Nick Radulovich and his crew from Kozlak Radulovich Chapel for the delicious Roast Pork served after the 4:30 Mass at our Kolbe Hall Open House last weekend. Thank you also to Parish Activities Committee and all the volunteers for hosting the event and providing the other items served. The best feature of the Open House was being able to open our doors to people who cannot go up and down steps. The new elevator is a wonderful gift to this parish.
HOLY CROSS CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES FUN'D RAISER - Our Confirmation Candidates are sponsoring an Aluminum Recycling Drive from May through September to help with the purchase of new tables and chairs for Kolbe Center. Please help us with this project. Bags of aluminum cans (pop or beer) can be put in the containers by the doors of the church or by the garages behind the rectory. Please - no glass or tin. If you have questions, call Sister Benita at 612-789-9168 (evenings).

 PERPETUAL EUCHARISTIC
ADORATION NEWS
Our Holy Father John Paul II stated at the Eucharistic Congress: "United with the Angels and Saints let us adore the Most Holy Eucharist. We adore this GREAT MYSTERY that contains God's new and definitive covenant with humankind in Christ." "It gives me great joy to kneel before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, in an act of humble and fervent adoration, in praise of the merciful God, and in thanksgiving to the Giver of all good gifts."

Come and visit Jesus in the Adoration Chapel located in the convent of Holy Cross. For more information call 763- 788-4729 or 612-781-4806. Thank you.
NO PICNIC THIS YEAR - The Parish Activities Committee sponsored the Open House last weekend for our new Kolbe Hall rather than having a Parish Picnic. Thanks for your continued support of all "parish activities!"
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all Fathers, Grandfathers, Step-Fathers, Godfathers and Fathers-to-Be. May our loving Father in heaven continue to bless and guide you in carrying out the important role that you play in your family.
BLESSING OF CARS will be next weekend - June 15 and 16 - after all Masses. Please drive slowly around the corner of 17th Avenue and Fourth Street.
