Text Box: MESSAGE FROM FATHER JENSON

St. Paul speaks of the faith of Abraham who did not doubt the word of God that he would become the father of many nations although he was already a very old man when this promise was made to him by God. We need a similar faith that never doubts that God will keep his word to us. As we move into summer, let us strive to refresh our faith and strengthen our hope in God and his faithfulness toward us. Take time to relax the mind and the body, take time to exercise your faith, then this fall can find you a renewed person ready for anything in the busy year ahead.

This Sunday we have an excellent way to exercise the faith and exercise it to new strength - our 4th annual Eucharistic Procession. When we do more than just visit one church once a week on Sunday, we can experience God in a new and refreshing way. Be good to your soul, come and demonstrate your love for Jesus in the Eucharistic this Sunday afternoon June 8, at 3:00 PM. The amazing event will bring our Lord Jesus into the streets of our preoccupied and rather self-absorbed world and make Him visible, not hidden within our church walls. Come and join the family of faith as we celebrate God’s gift to us of the Eucharist. See bulletin article for details.

This would be a good way to prepare our three parishes for our new relationship which should begin around the last weekend of June. I am expecting a letter from the Archbishop, containing the start up date for St. Hedwig, St. Anthony and Holy Cross to begin sharing our clergy together, to arrive by the time you read this and hopefully we can print the date in next week’s bulletin.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES - Holy Cross Church is now equipped with a new hearing assistance system.  If you would like to benefit from our recently updated service, please ask for a receiver in the sacristy before Mass.  The system works with an individual ear piece and receiver pack.
