Text Box: BULLETIN CONENCTION

The excitement and newness of the Easter season and Pentecost quiet down now. Today’s readings bring us face to face with our choice: Moses tells us we can choose a blessing or a curse, simply by choosing to obey or disobey God’s law. Jesus tells us we can choose a sturdy house built on a rock or a ruined house built on sand, simply by hearing and acting on his words or by failing to act on them.

This is the season of discipleship. We have each been chosen by Jesus as personally as any apostle was ever chosen. We have celebrated our call in the preceding season. Now it is time to live that call.
