ANNUAL TOOTSIE ROLL DRIVE - The Hennepin-Minneapolis Knights of Columbus Council #435 will be conducting their annual Tootsie Roll Drive for the intellectually disabled citizens next weekend May 29 and 30 here at Holy Cross.  100% of donations from this event help support Minnesota Special Olympic athletes.  Your generosity in previous years has helped make all events accessible and available to any athlete who wishes to participate.  Look for the Knights in vests at all the doors for weekend Masses.  Please be generous.

PRAYER SHAWL - You are invited to join us - all skills are needed (sew, crochet, knit, fleece tie, sewing labels).  We meet on Tuesday, May 25th at 6:30 PM in the Parish Library.  If you would like to work at home, just stop by a meeting to see the shawls and get copies of prayers, patterns/ideas and size guidelines.  For more information call the Parish Office at 612-789-7238 or Mary at 612-379-4090.

PEACE MASS - Holy Cross  will be the host of the next Peace Mass on Tuesday, May 25th.  Rosary at 6:30 PM; Mass at 7:00 PM.  Receive a copy of the message given to the Blessed Virgin Mary on the 25th of every month.  Refreshments follow.

CATHOLIC YOUTH CAMP - It’s not too late to sign up for Summer 2010!  63 years of faith, friendship and fun in Northern Minnesota!  Sessions are available for children grades 1-9 and 2 week Team Leadership programming.  Registration is available until sessions are full.  Volunteer service opportunities are also available.  Www.cycamp.org or 651-636-1645 for more information.  See you at CYCC!

THE HOLY CROSS “RUMMAGE SALE” (former Garage Sale) will be August 4, 5 & 6 - Wednesday through Friday.  Donations are needed.  Bring good, useable items that you no longer need.  Unload some of those things that take up space and are never used.  No clothing, TV’s or furniture.  Donations can be brought to the garages behind the rectory weekdays 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Questions?  Call 612-789-7238 weekdays.

EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION - The Catholic Churches of lower Northeast Minneapolis will be holding their 6th Annual Eucharistic Procession of Sunday, June 13th to give honor and glory to our Lord’s gift of the Eucharist by processing through our seven churches.  Services begin at 3:00 PM at Holy Cross.  The Procession will move to St. Cyril and Methodius, St. Anthony, St. Boniface, St. Maron, St. Constantine and a closing Benediction at All Saints at 435-5th St. N.E.  A social with refreshments will follow at the Cedars Hall of St. Maron, 602 University Ave. N.E.  In case of rain, all will be at St. Maron’s.
