Text Box: MESSAGE FROM
FATHER JENSON

This weekend we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost which concludes the season of Easter. Jesus says in the Gospel that his disciples are his Father’s gift to him. That means that you and I, his disciples, in Jesus’ eyes are a gift to him from God the Father. May this inspire us to want to live life in the Holy Spirit to the max in order to really be a gift to Jesus. May the liturgy of Pentecost this Sunday inspire us to seek the power and inspiration of the Holy Spirit whom we received for this very purpose at Confirmation, to be a gift to everyone around us. By so doing, we truly become a gift to Jesus in his eyes.

This Sunday the last First Communion in our tri-parish cluster will take place at St. Anthony Parish at the 5:30 PM Saturday evening mass. God bless these children and all those who have received this sacrament for the first time this Easter Season.

Father Jenson will be away at the Priesthood ordination this coming Saturday and so the Holy Hour and Mass at St. Anthony’s on Saturday morning will be cancelled next Saturday, May 29th. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the St. Hedwig’s Spring Festival in two weeks on Sunday, June 6th. I hope to see our tri-parish family gather to celebrate together. Our Northeast Eucharistic Procession will be the next Sunday, June 13th. The upcoming weeks are filled with great events for our faith community, come and see!

Father Glen Jenson, Pastor

GLOBAL SOLIDARITY SUNDAY - June 5/6 is Global Solidarity Sunday when we celebrate our communion through the Body and Blood of Christ with our brothers and sisters all over the world.  On this Sunday, a special outreach collection will be taken and distributed to four initiatives specifically designated by the US Catholic Bishops.  These initiatives encourage the Church overseas and support pastoral needs in Africa, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the many humanitarian activities of Catholic Relief Services.  Please be generous as you are able to support the gifts and talents of your brothers and sisters overseas.  Thank you.
