EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION - The Catholic Churches of Northeast Minneapolis will be holding a Eucharistic Procession on Sunday, June 12, 2005 in honor of the Year of the Eucharist that was declared by our former Holy Father Pope John Paul II. You are invited to join us as we will process between seven Churches.

Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Cross, 1621 University Avenue N.E. The Procession will move to Sts. Cyril and Methodius, St. Anthony, St. Boniface, St. Maron, St. Constantine, and a closing Benediction at All Saints at 435-4th Street N.E.

A social with refreshments will follow at the Cedars Hall of St. Maron, 602 University Avenue N.E. In case of rain out, procession and social will be held at St. Maron.

THIS WEEKEND we will have registration for the 2005-2006 Faith Formation classes, First Communion preparation and Confirmation class. Please come to the Sacristy. It will take only a few minutes.

This registration includes:
All children who will attend public school and be in grades 1-7 next school year.
Children who will be in grade 2 in preparation for First Holy Communion whether they attend public school or Pope John Paul II Catholic School.
All children in grades 8 and 9 who will be preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation whether they attend a Catholic school or public school.

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION - The Ninth Annual Archdiocesan Corpus Christi Procession, Sunday, May 29, 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. Join Bishop Pates and Catholics from throughout the Archdiocese in this joyful witness to Eucharistic faith and love. Bishop Pates will celebrate the 12:30 p.m. parish Mass at St. Olaf (215 S. 8th Street, Mpls., park on the street). Adoration begins at 1:45 p.m., followed by a festive walk with the Blessed Sacrament, ending with Benediction at the Basilica of St. Mary. Buses will shuttle participants back to St. Olaf's. VERONIKA JANCZUK, a 13 year old Holy Cross parishioner and student at our Polish Saturday School, wrote a book in English for teenagers and young adults titled "Allie's Journal.". This book of fiction describes the adventures and emotions that the young girl - "Allie" - experiences during her attempt to reunite with her family. Cost of this book is $10.00 and it is available at the Rectory. Our congratulations to Veronika on the publication of her first novel!
