EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

A Question -   Do we adore HIM whom we receive into our heart in Holy Communion?  Christ has consistently and repeatedly pleaded with us to adore HIM.  Are we willing to spend time with HIM in prayer, love and adoration WHO is really, truly, bodily, and personally present in the Blessed Sacrament?

Visit Jesus in the Adoration Chapel.  Open hours: Monday noon; Wednesday 11:00 a.m.; Thursday 4:00 p.m.; Thursday 5:00 p.m. 612-605-2558 or 612-781-4806.

THIS WEEKEND, May 20 & 21 in the sacristy after Mass, we will have registration for the 2006-2007 Faith Formation classes and First Communion preparation.  It will only take a few minutes:

This registration includes:

· All children who will attend public school and be in grades 1-8 next school year.

· Children who will be in grade 2 in preparation for First Holy Communion whether they attend public school or Pope John Paul II Catholic School.

Please make use of these opportunities.  If you have any questions, call Sister Donna (evenings) at 612-789-9168.

Please remember Holy Cross Parish in your Will.

Text Box: BULLETIN CONNECTION

In American society, commands often come across as burdensome. We love our freedom, and we don’t like it when someone tells us to do something.

But commands spoken with a sharp imperative can also be life-saving. In a burning building, a fire-fighter’s command, “Get out now!” can save a life. A parent’s sharp word to a child, “Stop!” can prevent imminent harm. And a shouted, “Watch out!” can prevent an accident.

So the command: “Love one another as I have loved you,” may have a certain burden attached to it, a certain limitation on our freedom. But it is also life-giving beyond measure.
