Text Box: BULLETIN CONNECTION

One God. Three Persons. That’s the doctrine. Scholars try to wrap their minds around it. Skeptics try to debunk it. Preachers sometimes try to explain it with illustrations of shamrocks and triangles. Today’s liturgy does none of those things. Today the church celebrates God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Today we rejoice that such an amazing God loves us. We believe in the God “who is, who was and who is to come.” We marvel that such a God wants us to be sons and daughters. The Trinity truly is a mystery, in the religious sense of the word. It is not a puzzle to be solved; rather, it is a truth to be embraced in faith.
