Text Box: BULLETIN CONNECTION

Today the Church sings, “Lord send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.” All the stories of the Vigil and Pentecost Day tell us that the Lord has already done that. The Holy Spirit descended on the disciples and they lost their fear and found their voices. End of story, right?

Wrong. This is the beginning of the story, and we’re in the middle of it now. So we can celebrate that the Spirit has already come, but just as sincerely we can beg the Spirit to come now, to renew the face of the earth today. The earth and all its inhabitants need renewal again and again. As the disciples did then, we must do now: lose our fear and find our voices. Only in this way will the Spirit be able to renew us and the world.

MOTHER’S DAY BLESSINGS to all Mothers, Grandmothers, Stepmothers, Godmothers and Mothers-to-Be.  May the love of Jesus always radiate in your life and in the lives of the those you cherish.

Please remember Holy Cross Parish

in your Will.
