YESTERDAY, TODAY & TOMORROW - EDUCATING THE NEXT GENERATION

125th Anniversary Event

PROCESSION & MAY CROWNING

 

Join us at 6:30 PM on Thursday, May 5 (the 125th day of the year) for a Procession and May Crowning.  The procession will be around the grounds and we will crown the statue of Mary located between the rectory and convent.  Seating will be available for those unable to participate in the procession.  Children carrying flowers will lead the procession as we all sing to Mary.  We’re looking for as many children and adults as possible to be in the procession.  The goal is 125+ participants.  Following the crowning and prayers, an Ice Cream Social will be held in Kolbe Hall.  In case of rain, the procession will be held in church.  Everyone is invited.

PICTORIAL DIRECTORIES - All those who had their photo taken in October for the Olan Mills Directory can pick up their copy of the directory at the parish office weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

DEVOTIONS - First Saturday Devotions will be held this Saturday, May 7, at Holy Cross at 7:45 AM with praying of the first three decades of the Rosary and Mass at 8:00 AM.  After Mass devotions will continue with the final two decades of the Rosary, prayer and meditation.

VIGIL OF REPARATION  - The World Apostolate of Fatima of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis is sponsoring a Vigil of Reparation at Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West 15th Street, Hastings.  The vigil begins on Friday, May 6, 7:00 PM, and closes on Saturday, May 7, at 4:00 AM.  Everyone is invited to attend all or some of this devotion.  651-437-3591.

STUDENT ART SHOW - The Ateliec Studio Program of Fine Art is having a full time student art show May 13-15 and May 20-22 at 1681 East Hennepin Avenue.  Friday 2-9 PM, Saturday 12-8 PM and Sunday 12-5 PM.  Sister Laura will have seven pieces of her art on displayed.  Questions call 612-362-8421.

HOLY CROSS SENIOR GET TOGETHER - All Seniors are invited to join us at our Annual Senior “Get Together” on Friday, May 6.  Mass will be at 10:30 AM in the Church with lunch to follow in Kolbe Hall.  Cost is $10.00 and reservations are necessary.  Call 612-789-9168 (evenings).

ATTENTION FIRST COMMUNION CLASSES OF 2010 & 2011 - First Communion students and their families are invited to be a part of the Procession and May Crowing on Thursday, May 5th.  You are welcome to wear your First Communion clothing if possible.  Please meet in Kolbe Hall at 6:15 PM.
