Welcome to Church of the Holy Cross

BULLETIN CONNECTION

How do we live as a Christian in the world today? This question, which Christians have to ask of themselves, is the same one posed by the author of the first Letter of ~ter. Christians can't run away from the world. The newly baptized are not encapsulated in their white baptismal robes in a kind of hermetic seal from daily life. Every Christian lives in a world touched by sin - personal, communal, social and original.

Despite that, the Christian does not despair. The promised gift of the Holy Spirit, our Advocate, is with us always. The writer of 1 Peter encouraged his readers to "be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope."

Take some time to be aware of the Spirit's presence in your life. What are the reasons for your hope?

Thank you for the gifts given in Memory of John Jakala and William Bogucki.

Thank you to all who continue to give gifts and make pledge payments. We appreciate your kindness.

Even though we do not have a "Gifts still needed" balance at this time, it will not always be that amount. As we become aware of pledges that cannot be completed, you will notice any unpaid amounts moved to the "Gifts still needed" column.
