HOLY CROSS SENIORS “GET TOGETHER” - Join us at our annual Seniors “Get-Together” on Friday, May 7.  Mass will be at 10:30 AM with lunch following.  Cost is $10.00 and reservations are necessary.  Call 612-789-9168 (evenings). 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - It’s Vacation Bible School registration time again.  See flyers at the doors of church for more information on registration for children 3 years to 6th grade and volunteer opportunities for everyone!  Please email vbs.holycross@yahoo.com for more information.

DEVOTIONS - First Saturday Devotions will be held this Saturday, May 1, at Holy Cross at 7:45 AM with praying of the first three decades of the Rosary and Mass at 8:00 AM.  After Mass devotions will continue with praying of the final two decades of Rosary, prayer and meditation.

ALL NIGHT VIGIL - The World Apostolate of Fatima, Archdiocese of St Paul and Minneapolis, is sponsoring an All Night Vigil of reparation and prayer at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2035 West 15th Street, Hastings.  The vigil will begin on Friday, May 7 with the Rosary and the Mass at 9:00 PM, and will conclude on Saturday, May 8 with Mass at 4:00 AM.  Everyone is invited to attend all or part of this devotion.  Contact: Mary 651-437-3591.

PRAYER SHAWL - You are invited to join us - all skills are needed (sew crochet, knit, fleece tie, sewing labels).  We meet on Tuesday, April 27th at 6:30 PM in the Parish Library.  If you would like to work at home, just stop by a meeting to see the shawls and get copies of prayers, patterns/ideas and size guidelines.  For more information call the Parish Office at 612-789-7238 or Mary at 612-379-4090.

PEACE MASS - St. Anthony of Padua, 804-2nd Street N.E. will be the host of the next Peace Mass on Tuesday, April 27th.  Rosary at 6:30 PM; Mass at 7:00 PM.  Receive a copy of the message given to the Blessed Virgin Mary on the 25th of every month.  Refreshments follow.

 

REGISTRATION - This Wednesday, April 28th we will begin registration for the 2010-2011 Faith Formation classes and First Communion preparation.  It will only take a few minutes:

¨ All children who will attend public school and be in grades 1-8 next school year.

¨ Children in grade 2 who will prepare for First Communion whether they attend public school or Pope John Paul II Catholic School.

Stop by any Tuesday after 9:30 AM and check it out. Serving the Lord and parish by becoming a Eucharistic Minister or Lector. Joining our group of ushers. All ages are needed and welcome. AN ECUMENICAL LAW ENFORCEMENT PRAYER SERVICE will be held at Holy Cross on Sunday, May 2 at 2:00 PM.  Police and deputies from local departments will gather to give thanks and remember those who have died in the line of duty.  Cake & coffee will be served in Kolbe Hall following the prayer service.
