FATHER GLEN’S THOUGHTS….. Happy Easter! At last our Lenten self denial is over and we enter into great celebration and rejoicing. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is risen, truly he is risen! Through these past days of Holy Week in a particular way we have walked through the Lord's last days in Jerusalem as he went, as the prophets had foretold, to his death on the cross for our sins. In the great services of Holy Thursday and Good Friday we accompanied our Lord as he surrendered himself to a cruel death to pay the price for all human sin. And now, with the great Easter Vigil Mass and Easter Sunday morning Masses, we join him in his wondrous resurrection to new life. May this Easter bring us all new life and strength to live our own lives with Jesus' own strength for loving no matter what comes upon us. May the joy that our church decorations depict for us, and the bright Easter hymns sing of, be ever in our hearts. God bless each and all of you this Easter Day and throughout the days ahead. Happy Easter, and in Polish, Wesołego Alleluia! Father Glen Jenson, Pastor |
