FOR YOUR INFORMATION…

As you can see, the scaffolding is down on the North aisle which means the painting and redecorating of this section of the church is finished.  Some broken stained glass sections were also repaired on this aisle.  As of today $35,372 has been collected on the goal of $80,000.  Once our goal is achieved, we will be able to move onto the South side aisle.

This past week an additional section of marble was added to the front steps of the main altar.  This will make it easier for the priest to incense the gifts and the altar at the offertory without risking a fall or twisted ankle!  This was less costly and presented less risk of breakage than moving the altar back.  The work was performed by Twin City Marble and Tile Company, St. Paul.

In the near future the insides of the confessionals will be redone.  The old soundproofing was done with shag carpeting which over time has not only become outdated in appearance, but our climate changes make the inside of the confessionals smell musty, especially in the summer.
