Text Box: BULLETIN CONNECTION

The bountiful catch of fish pulled from the waters in today’s Gospel reminds us of God’s providence and the fullness of the earth. The account of creation in Genesis tells us that God found everything he made “very good” and we surely would have to agree. We’re awestruck at the beauty of the Grand Canyon and marvel at the tiny hummingbird. Yet we realize how shabbily we often treat God’s gifts: polluting waterways, adding hazardous particulates to our air, and more. We’re failing our role as stewards of the earth, causing harm to ourselves and our children’s children.

This Earth Day show gratefulness to God for his gifts by planting a tree, beginning a home recycling program, and learning how you can help the environment. Ecology and faith go hand and hand.
