LENTEN ALMSGIVING - The staff at St. Joseph’s Home for Children was grateful for your gifts of breakfast foods.  They were impressed with “so many things we can use!”  Thank you also for the non-perishable food items this weekend for Mary’s Place at Sharing & Caring Hands.

SOUP SUPPER - You are invited to join English Altar and Rosary Guild for their last delicious Soup Supper on Wednesday, April 13 from 4:30 to 7:00 PM in Kolbe Hall.  Enjoy homemade soup, bread, dessert, coffee or milk.  Adults $5.00 and children $1.25 (in celebration of our 125th Anniversary).  This week Wild Rice will be featured.  All proceeds go to local charities.

HOLY CROSS FISH FRY’S every Friday, during Lent except for Good Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in Kolbe Center.  Menu includes: Fish, French Fries or Baked Potato, Cole Slaw, Roll, Coffee or Milk.  Macaroni & Cheese available.  Adults $10.00, Children under 12 $1.25 eat-in price in celebration of Holy Cross’ 125th Anniversary.  Funds raised at the Fish Fry support youth ministry at Holy Cross.

ENGLISH ROSARY GUILD BINGO - The Holy Cross English Altar and Rosary Guild is sponsoring their annual Ham and Cash Bingo TODAY Sunday, April 10th from 2:00 to 5:00 PM in Kolbe Center.  All are welcome.

ALL PARISH BAKE SALE - Holy Cross All Parish Bake Sale will be Saturday, April 16 after the 4:30 Mass and Sunday, April 17 after all morning Masses in Kolbe.  Donations of baked goods can be brought beginning at noon on Saturday.  Our Youth Group is hosting the Bake Sale.  All help will be appreciated.

ENGLISH ALTAR & ROSARY GUILD MEETING will meet on Monday, April 11 at 7:00 PM in Kolbe Center.  Women of the Parish interested in learning more about the Rosary Guild are cordially invited to join us on Monday night.  Rose 109 will provide the refreshments.

POPE JOHN PAUL II’S BEATIFICATION - Join the celebration of Pope John Paul II’s Beatification!  We’re having prayer and program on Sunday, May 1 from 1-3 PM at Holy Cross and Pope John Paul II Catholic School.  We plan to display memorabilia people have of “soon to be” Blessed Pope John Paul II during the program.  If you have items such as pictures, Vatican announcements, etc., please call Janice at 612-789-7238 or email JFrakie at and someone on the Beatification Committee will contact you.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY - Do you know of someone (man, woman or child) who is in need of the warm comfort of prayer through a Prayer Shawl?  The Shawls we make are crafted with prayers and have been blessed by Father Glen.  Please stop by our table next Sunday at the All Parish Bake Sale if you would like to obtain a Prayer Shawl for yourself or to give to someone.

BETHELEM CHRISTIAN FAMILIES - Next week our brothers and sisters representing the Christian Catholic Families of Bethlehem will be selling Crucifixes, religious art work, and rosaries - all made of olive wood which is native to Israel and Bethlehem - in Kolbe Center.  Since tourism has greatly depleted, Christian families in the holy land, who depend on tourists, have been greatly affected.  Sale of these goods will help them and give you the opportunity to have “something” authentic from the holy land.  Website:
