BULLETIN CONNECTION
As we continue reading from the first Letter of Peter, we hear the author encouraging Christians to live in holiness in the midst of the trials of this world. For the newly initiated, the Christian life is a joyful experience. Christians who have grown up in faith sometimes take it for granted.
Unlike 1st century followers of Christ, we live in a world where many people have heard of him. And in our country, many people profess a faith in Christ.
The end of today's reading from 1 Peter is a fragment of an early creed: "He was known before the foundation of the world but revealed in the final time for you. The "final time" is not the end of the world, but that God's revelation is fulfilled in the risen Lord.

his life. These cards are printed in both the English and Polish languages.
We thank Kapala-Glodek Funeral Home for the large bouquet of red/white
carnations by the picture of the Holy Father and for the memorial books at the
entrances to the church in which you may write your thoughts. These memorial
books will be sent to the Vatican. |
CONTINUING OUR TRADITION -April, 3 2005
Goal - $1,500,000.00
Total paid to date (pledge payments and additional gifts) $1,354,413.70
Pledge still outstanding $ 145,586.30
$1,500,000.00
Through the generosity of a couple in our parish the remaining balance of
"Gifts still needed" was paid off this week. We are grateful for this
generous gift to the parish. However, please be aware that even though the
balance at time is zero, it will not always be that amount.
As people move out of the parish, become unemployed, move to a nursing home or
pass away in death, they will not be able to pay their pledge. As we become
aware of these situations, you will notice any unpaid pledges moved to the
"Gifts still needed" column.
Please continue to use your yellow "Continuing Our Tradition"
envelopes for monthly gifts which will be saved and used for remaining balances.
This campaign is scheduled to end in December 2006. Hopefully we will be able to
end sooner as people payoff their pledges as quickly as possible.
Thank
you! |
