LENTEN ALMSGIVING PROJECT - Thank you for your donations this weekend of breakfast foods for St. Joseph’s Home for Children.  Next week, April 4 & 5, we will have a second collection for the Medicine Fund at Our Lady of Good Counsel Free Cancer Home.  Your response has been overwhelming!  Each week we are able to deliver a van full of donations.  Thank you!

BAKE SALE - Holy Cross All Parish Bake Sale on Saturday, April 4th after 4:30 Mass and Sunday, April 5th after all the morning Masses in Kolbe Center.   Bring your favorite bake sale treats! We need volunteers to work after the Masses on Saturday and Sunday morning and Saturday afternoon to receive the baked goods. Call the Parish Office weekdays at 612-789-7238 to help.

HAM & CASH BINGO - Come and enjoy a fun afternoon of Bingo TODAY - Sunday, March 29th from 2:00 to 5:00 PM in Kolbe Center.  Try and win an Easter ham.  Sponsored by the English Altar & Rosary Guild of Holy Cross.  All are welcome.

EASTER BOUTIQUE - St. Boniface Christian Mother’s Guild will sponsor their Easter Boutique/Bake Sale/White Elephant Sale on Saturday, April 4 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in the church hall, 629-2nd Street N.E.  Easter gifts, handicrafts, “White Elephant” treasures, baked treats, raffles, and refreshments.  Handicap accessible.  612-379-8827 for information.

SPRING CRAFT AND BAKE SALE - The St. Anthony of Padua Women’s Guild will hold their Spring Craft and Bake Sale in the Atrium of Catholic Eldercare (817 Main Street N.E.) on Saturday, April 4th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Sunday, April 5th from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.  It will include a variety of homemade baked goods and craft items as well as “Toni’s Attic Treasures.”

SOUP SUPPER - The last Lenten Soup Supper sponsored by the English Altar and Rosary Guild will be Wednesday, April 1 from 4:30 to 7:00 PM in Kolbe Center.  Come and enjoy homemade soup, bread, dessert, coffee or milk.  Adults $4.00 and Children $2.00.  Take-outs available.  All proceeds go to feed the hungry at local charities.  This week Potato Ham Soup will be served.

FISH FRY’S - The last Holy Cross Fish Fry will be Friday, April 3 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in Kolbe Center.  Fish, French Fries or Baked Potato, Cole Slaw, Roll, Butter, Coffee or Milk.  Macaroni and Cheese is available.  Adults $10, under 12 - $5.00.  Thank you, thank you to all the parishioners who have worked at the Fish Fry’s!

ATTENTION SENIOR CITIZENS - On Friday, April 3rd we will have the Senior Mass in Church at 9:00 AM with the Social to follow in Kolbe Center.

POPE JOHN PAUL II SCHOOL GALA - Please join us for our annual School Gala on Friday, April 24th at the Radisson Roseville, 2540 Cleveland Ave. N.   5:30 PM - Reception and Silent Auction;  7:00 PM - Dinner and Program.  There will also be a money raffle (1st prize $500/ 2nd prize $200).  Our very special guest is the Very Reverend Lee Piché, Vicar General of the Archdiocese.  The school choirs will be entertaining with some great sounds of music.  If you would like to purchase raffle tickets, make a reservation for the Gala ($75 per person or table sponsor table of 8 - $1,000) or for more information, call the Development Office at 612-789-8851, ext 104.

SPIRITUAL ART SHOW - The 9th Annual Northeast Minneapolis Spiritual Art Show is taking place in Holy Cross’ Kolbe Center now thru April 3.  The event is free and open to the general public from 3:00 to 7:00 PM each day.  Thursday, April 2, there will be a Festival evening of music from 7:00 to 8:30 PM done by the Singleton Street Bluegrass Band.  The Spiritual Art show is open to all artists that live in Minnesota.  All the art work is done within the past three years.  $500 in cash prizes are awarded to best works in show.  All the art is for sale unless noted otherwise.
