FATHER GLEN’S

THOUGHTS…..

Jesus promises in the Gospel to give living water to those who believe in him, “like a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” During Lent we are striving to draw closer to Jesus by rooting out anything in us that separates us from him by our Lenten works of prayer, fasting and almsgiving.  Jesus will nourish our thirsty soul with life giving water if we spend time with him in prayer.  May Lent bring a deeper sense of Jesus in each of us and may our Lady help us with this every day.

This Sunday is the great closing ceremony of Forty Hours Eucharistic Devotion at Holy Cross at 4:00 PM.  This is a ceremony that should not be missed.  The beauty of our Catholic faith will be made visible in this moving ceremony at which dozens of priests and deacons will take part.  There is a Wine and Cheese Social that follows in Kolbe Hall. Come and see the glory of our worship as we rarely see it on such a grand scale.

Next Sunday is the Northeast Holy Name Club’s French Toast Breakfast at Kolbe Hall at Holy Cross.  Come and enjoy the wonderful food and camaraderie with your neighbors and fellow Catholics.

Father Glen Jenson, Pastor

FORTY HOURS CLOSING - The Closing Service of our Forty Hours Devotion is 4:00 PM TODAY - March 27.  Father Daniel Bodin from Church of St. Joseph in Taylor Falls will be the homilist.  Music will be provided by combined choirs from several parishes.  Please join us for this beautiful service.  A Wine and Cheese Social will follow in Kolbe Center.
