BAKE SALE - Holy Cross will once again be having their All Parish Bake Sale on Saturday, April 4th after 4:30 Mass and Sunday, April 5th after all the morning Masses in Kolbe Center.  Mark your calendar and start looking for your favorite bake sale recipes! We need volunteers to work after the Masses on Saturday and Sunday morning and Saturday afternoon to receive the baked goods. Call the Parish Office weekdays at 612-789-7238 to volunteer.

BIBLE STUDY - The Light Weigh is a bible study and support group in the N.E. Catholic faith community.   Consider giving God a chance to touch your heart, your life and your eating.  Attend one of two Light Weigh orientation meetings at Holy Cross Parish Library on Tuesday, March 24th at 2:00 PM or Thursday, March 26th at 6:30 PM.  Information call Paula at 763-221-8716.

ANNUAL SPRING LUNCHEON - All Saints Catholic Church Annual Spring Luncheon “Festival of Tables V”, Saturday, April 25th, beginning at 11:00 AM in the All Saints Parish Center, 5th Avenue and 5th Street N.E.  Tickets are $23.00.  No tickets sold at the door.  Ticket sales close April 20th.  Great food, entertainment, raffles, silent auction, prizes.  To order tickets call Paula @ 763-571-0811 or email your request to aaiin3@earthlink.net

LENTEN ALMSGIVING PROJECT - Thank you for your donation this weekend of food service products for People Serving People.  Next week, March 28 & 29, we will be collecting breakfast foods - cereal, pancake mix, syrup, canned fruit for St. Joseph’s Home for Children.  God bless you for your great response and generosity.
Text Box: FORTY HOURS DEVOTION THANK YOU! Our Forty Hours Devotion and the closing ceremony were a beautiful time of renewal for our parish. We have Eucharistic adoration every day in the convent chapel, but this time of adoration in our church was a reminder of the mass as the source of the Eucharist so many adore and a grand celebration of the significance of the gift we have in Jesus with us in the Eucharist. The closing ceremony was simply much too difficult to put into words. The Holy Spirit truly brought together a tremendous outpouring of faith and cooperation. So many altar servers were present that it created the impression of the nine choirs of angels in heaven as the long ranks of servers processed up the aisle of church escorting three dozen priests behind them in their ranks, representing the priesthood of Jesus Christ. The altar so beautifully decorated as to show us what the glory of heaven will surely look like and the music. It is hard to describe how wonderfully the festival choir and our new organist performed bringing the voice of the heavenly anthems into our midst. It was glorious. My heartfelt thanks to each and every one who had a part in making this ceremony such a genuinely heavenly experience. It required a lot of time and energy to make this all come together so beautifully, with a dash of the Holy Spirit to be sure. Also my thanks to all who prepared and served the Wine and Cheese Social and the meal for the religious and clergy. Both were fantastic. To all who gave so generously to the collection to help with expenses, my thanks as well. And to our parish staff who do so much more behind the scenes than even I often know - kudos! Father Glen

FISH FRY’S every Friday during Lent except Good Friday, 5:00 to 7:00 PM in Holy Cross Kolbe Center.

PEACE MASS - The next Peace Mass will be at Holy Cross on Thursday, March 26, 2009.  Rosary begins at 6:30 PM, Peace Mass at 7:00 PM.  Receive a copy of the message given to the Blessed Virgin Mary at Medjugorje on the 25th of every month.  Refreshments follow.

HAM & CASH BINGO - Come and enjoy a fun afternoon of Bingo next Sunday, March 29th from 2:00 to 5:00 PM in Kolbe Center.  Try and win an Easter ham.  Sponsored by the English Altar & Rosary Guild of Holy Cross.  All are welcome.
