THE CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL is a very practical means of “doing good” and is the way by which every Catholic shares in the work of our Archdiocese and the mission of the Church.  Thus far we have received gifts and pledges totaling $16,022.00 or 64% of our goal of $25,000.00.  The final date for Holy Cross to submit gifts and pledges to the Archdiocese is Wednesday, March 31.  Telemarketing to non-respondents begins May 1. 

LENTEN ALMSGIVING PROJECT - Thank you for your donation of food items for Sharing & Caring Hands.  On March 27 & 28 we will have a Second Collection for the Medicine Fund at Our Lady of Good Counsel Free Cancer Home.  Thank you for your generosity towards this project.

Text Box: MESSAGE FROM FATHER JENSON In our Gospel this Sunday we hear our Lord Jesus proclaiming mercy to the woman caught in adultery. Despite the seriousness of her sin, forgiveness is always available to the repentant. Because of the consequences of her sin she faced a terrible fate according to the law of the Jewish people. In her gratitude for the saving of her life from those consequences the conversion of heart that would have followed would be intense. We all have need for God’s mercy for the sin in our lives. May we seek in our prayer to feel a sincerity of conversion like that which she experienced so that we can experience the joy of Easter more intensely this year. May our Lady help us in our attempt to come to real conversion of heart so we can witness the power of God’s mercy in our lives. Catholic Services Appeal: The appeal is nearing its conclusion. This appeal provides needed funding for many worthy ministries in our Archdiocese, including our own school, Pope John Paul II, as well as for the seminary to help with the formation of our future priests like our teaching parish intern Ben Little. If you haven’t made your pledge yet, please consider making a pledge in the next week or so. J.S. BACH ORGAN RECITAL - Please join the Church of the Holy Cross for an organ recital of J.S. Bach’s organ pieces to honor the composer on the 325th anniversary of his birth.  The mini marathon will be held on TODAY, Sunday, March 21 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM in the church. ADORATION CHAPEL CLOSED - The Adoration Chapel will close Thursday, April 1 thru Sunday, April 4.  The Chapel will reopen Monday, April 5th at 8:00 AM.
