Welcome to Church of the Holy Cross

JEALOUSY UNNECESSARY

Jesus, in the parable of the prodigal son, proclaims an alternative to the jealousy and bitterness that seem almost natural among siblings vying for parental approval. Both sons, the father says, have and have always had their own special places in his heart. What he gives to one takes nothing away from the other. In today's world of "three strikes and you're out," this story is ripe for Lenten consideration.

THE CLOSING SERVICE for our Forty Hours Devotion is at 4:00 p.m. TODAY. Father John Ubel from the St. Paul Seminary will be the homilist. Music will be provided by a combined choir from several parishes. Please join us for this beautiful service. Wine and Cheese Social to follow in Kolbe Center. Everyone is welcome.
