We never should be afraid to go directly to JESUS in the Eucharist.  Jesus said “No one who comes to me will be rejected.” (John 6:37).  St. Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, to whom shall we go?  You have the words of eternal life.”  JESUS calls us to spend time with HIM because HE loves us so much that HE wants to save us, heal us, and care for us.

LENTEN SOUP SUPPERS, sponsored by the English Rosary Guild, will be held in Kolbe Hall on Wed., March 15, 22, 29 & April 1.  Menu includes: Soup, Bread, Dessert, Milk or Coffee.  Adults $4.00 and $2.00 for children  All proceeds go to charity. This week the soup is Beef Barley.

“ALL YOU CAN EAT” FISH FRYS sponsored by the Holy Cross Educational Task Force every Friday during Lent, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Kolbe Center.  Fish, French Fries or Baked Potato, Cole Slaw, Roll, Butter, Coffee or Milk.  Macaroni and Cheese is available.  Adults $8.00, under 12 - $4.00.

“LOLEK” A remarkable Life….Destined to Shape History.  Epiphany Studio Productions presents an inspiring one-man drama commemorating the life of Pope John Paul II.  In this play, Jeremy Stanbary takes you on a journey through the amazing young adulthood of Karol Wojtyla growing up in Nazi Occupied Poland during WWII.  The production at Holy Cross will be on Sunday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the school auditorium. ADORATION CHAPEL SCHEDULE FOR FORTY HOURS - The Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel will be closed during the following hours.  Adorers are encouraged to go to the Church for their Adoration hour:

             Friday, March 17            7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

             Saturday, March 18        8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

             Sunday, March 19        12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

CATHOLIC CHARITIES CONENCTIONS

 

Catholic Charities (612-664-8600) invites you to celebrate Spring by planting seeds of friendship:

· Dinning room host/hostess needed at St. Joseph Home for Children to set tables and serve food.  Available week nights 4-6 p.m.

· Feed the hungry by helping to prepare and serve a meal at one of our homeless shelters.  Groups of 4-7 volunteers are needed to serve breakfast 7-9 a.m., lunch 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and dinner 7-9 pm.

 

 

“GUY’S BAKE SALE & STUFF AUCTION” at St. Philip’s Church, 2507 Bryant Avenue No., March 18 after the 4:00 p.m. Mass and March 19 after the 10:15 a.m. Mass.  The men of the parish invite everyone to attend as the parish celebrates it’s Centennial.
