THE CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL supports the work of the Catholic Church by responding to the abundance of human needs in our diocese.  Your gift to the Appeal provides much needed help to those in need and is an opportunity to join a unified effort in our Archdiocese to advance the mission and ministry of the Catholic Church.  Take a moment to consider the many blessings that God has bestowed upon you and prayerfully consider what gifts you are able to share in support of the work of the Church.  The Archdiocese set a goal of $25,000 for Holy Cross Parish.  Thus far we have gifts and pledges $5,261.00 or 21% of our goal.  Please consider pledging your support to this worthwhile endeavor.

Text Box: MESSAGE FROM
FATHER JENSON

We have entered the season of Lent. This is a time of renewal in faith, hope and love. With our Lenten practices we hope to stir up the flame of faith in our hearts so that we might experience more dearly the love of our Lord Jesus, and more effectively bring that love to others as a result. There is great need for Christians to be effective ambassadors of Christ in the world. May our sacrifices and extra acts of charity spur us on to be true servants of the light in a world often overshadowed by the darkness of sin. One added result in working a serious plan for personal growth in faith in Lent is that it also builds solidarity among us as Catholics as we share what we are doing for Lent. May we become stronger as individuals, and as a Church, this Lent.

Mary, Mother of Divine Compassion, pray for us.

Father will be away this Monday-Wednesday visiting friends in Chicago. I will be taking the train there on Monday and returning Wednesday night. While I’m away, everyone must be good. I hope to see everyone at the Fish Fry on Friday and I can fill you in on my trip.

Father Glen Jenson, Pastor
